European/ Birch Plywood Are Now Getting Regular Customers in India

Imported plywood from European country is steadily gaining access to regular demand in India, which is routed through showrooms for high end customers. Birch timber based plywood is mainly imported from Russia and other Europe market. Showroom owners say that these plywood range has got attention of architects and designers in metro and other big cities and they feel easy to promote among high-end plywood users.

As per market report, a dozen of importers are bringing these plywood in the country and are selling mainly in important cities such as Mumbai, Surat, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ludhiana, Indore, Raipur etc. The product is moving through prominent showrooms specified by Architects and Designers because of its appealing touch and feel look. A Delhi based dealer claims that ‘European plywood is as good as top India made plywood brands because of its straightness, clean look and sturdiness’. This is 100 % calibrated ply, which is the most important feature that claims by retailers and suppliers.

The market inputs and demand sentiments are clearly indicating a gap in supplies and other wholesalers too have started searching for such materials. The users are asking for European plywood because of growing uses of costly decorative surfaces or new coating that make the furniture very beautiful. Its calibrated feature is very useful when it comes to overlaying new polishes in machines or processing it with help of modern furniture making machine. At OEM making of kitchens, furniture, wardrobes, shutters etc are increasingly being preferred to be made with such plywood. The price of this quality is ranging between Rs 120 to Rs 160 per sq ft which is almost double than a good quality plywood manufactured in India. The growing query of such Plywood is mainly from Kitchen makers, OEMs, Architects, Interior and Building Contractors who are making customized furniture for top end clientele.
