After having a good response and achieving success in 0.8 mm range, the expansion to 1 mm category is an oblivious choice because there was a much asked by their dealers and distributors along with customers’
demand in this category. Director of the company Mr. Sumit Mangal says, “Our products have been well accepted in the market. With two years of successful journey in 19 states of India with 0.8 mm and door skin, we now started 1 mm on the demand of our Distributors/dealers. For the spread of this 1 mm category laminates 90 percent of our 0.8 mm distributers will take care.”
It is noted that Star Mica’s ‘Designopedia’, first catalogue of 0.8 mm laminates was well appreciated by dealers and distributors. This catalogue has range of soft textures, Geometrical design, Gloss and wood finish.
Initially Star Mica introduced 0.8 mm laminates range and had promised to come up with 1 mm very soon. Star Plywood had its presence in almost pan India market and with over 100 dealers so it was easy for them to reach those markets with laminates also’. The company commands goodwill in quality plywood manufacturing under brand of ‘Star plywood’ and the same brand image in decorative Laminates offerings too. With introduction of 1 mm laminates range, Star Mica is also expanding its production capacity by 1 lac sheets per month with adding 3rd press, which will commence its commercial production by end of this year. With adding new capacity the company would reach a new height in Laminate sector with 3 lacs sheets production capacity per month in just two years of journey. “Star mica is taking all challenges of market and performing very well since last two years of its inception,” said Mr Ashwani Agarwal. “We are expanding our capacity as our present capacity is 2 lacs sheets per month and adding 1 lac/month more which will start production in December 2017,” he further adds.
