India’s largest Formalin plant by Burakia Group

BURAKIA GROUP, a closely held group of companies and globally acclaimed Chemicals and Speciality Papers business group for Wood Panel and Laminates industry has started another organic chemical manufacturing unit at Patalganga in Maharashtra. They will be manufacturing FORMALDEHYDE and PARAFORMALDEHYDE with the capacity of 140,000 MT, 20,000 MT per annum respectively from this second manufacturing unit under their flagship chemical company Balaji Formalin Pvt. Ltd. The group comprises three dynamic pro-active companies, each excelling in its own field, and providing product, logistical and marketing support to one another. In the wood panel industry they are comprised of FakirsonsPapchem Pvt. Ltd. and Balaji Formalin Pvt. Ltd. respectively catering to the chemical and speciality decor paper needs of wood panel industry for the domestic as well as export markets.

At the recently started unit of Balaji Formalin at Patalganga, Maharashtra, the group has employed one of the world’s most technically advanced Prills Form technology for manufacturingPARAFORMALDEHYDE. While for manufacturing Formaldehyde, they will be using Metal Oxide based technology, enabling them to produce 55 percent concentration of Formaldehyde. With this expansion, Balaji Formalin has become the largest Formaldehyde manufacturing establishment in India with a aggregate capacity of 230,000 MT per annum. Their Ahmedabad Unit has been operational since last 15 years serving the wood industry among their other customer base spread over pharmaceutical, chemical industries to Government regulated nuclear research purposes. The unit boasts of high safety standards, having reportedzero incidents since inception and complete automation with DCS based system.

The other brand name under the umbrella, Fakirsons Papchem Pvt. Ltd., is also India’s largest dealer and distributor of speciality base papers for HPL and LPL industry, in terms of volumes traded and stocking capacities. Their principal Huawang Group, China, is the world’s largest laminate, decorative paper and speciality paper manufacturer. To define their relationship withHuawang, Mr. Mukesh Gupta (Director, Burakia Group) remarks, “With a consistency of 10 years and a single point of reliable sourcing, we are poised to serve Indian market a round the clock after sales support and immediate attention to our quality conscious clientele.”

Reportedly, FakirsonsPapchem has also an active focus of sensing the customers’ demands and develop new products with their principal Huawang Group. Together, they have developed more than 50 new colours and varieties with their customer centred R&D approach. They are also a distributor to GSFC, India’s largest manufacturers of Melamine.
