Green Ply Launches ‘Acrylic Solid Surface’, Ties up with Us Based Aristech

Plywood manufacturer Greenply Industries has tied up with US-based Aristech Surfaces LLC for the marketing of acrylic solid surface sheets in the country. “Greenply has entered into a trading arrangement with Aristech of US for marketing of niche range of 100 % acrylic solid surface sheets in India,” said Mr. Subir Palit, country head of Greenply Industries. Under the agreement, the Indian company would source the material manufactured by Aristech Surfaces and sell it in India, he added.

Till the business acquired a critical mass, such kind of an arrangement would continue, he said. The product has applications for interior decoration in airports, restaurants, hospitals, buildings, kitchen, and bathrooms.

Aristech Surfaces LLC MD Paul Jones said, “The rate of urbanization, growing populace of affluent middle class and growing segment of working young professionals with higher dispensable income are all positive indicators of growth which can be attained by a versatile and premium product like acrylic solid surface in India. Furthermore, with robust industrial and infrastructure growth which is anticipated as an after effect of robust economic policies, the demand for surfacing products such acrylic solid surface is bound to grown manifolds in the times to come.”

Aristech is a leading producer of acrylic solid surface sheets and commanded a premium in the market.The product would be marketed in India under the joint branding of ‘GreenteriorAcylic Solid Surface – By Avonite Surfaces, USA’.

The two partners - Greenply Industries & Aristech are planning to create a network of fabrication partners across the country. The duo plans to equip them with best-in the-class machinery and technology along with adequate technical training and skilling of the workforce to ensure that the end products are at par with international standards When it comes to fabrication.
