Reports indicate that the business of Indian décor paper printers have recovered very fast after unlocking period and they have successfully achieved 80 percent of their business where as transportation issues are creating a pain for imported supplies. Growing market of economical grade Laminates and Prelam Boardsat good pace is pivotal factor behind growing demand of domestic printed décor base paper used. As per market report, the capacity utilization of lower thickness laminates such as 0.8 mm, 0.72 mm, door skins, liner laminates has improved very quick after unlock period.

.Reports suggest that 0.8 mm segment has achieved its 60 percent pre-covid volumes where as liner grade has reached to the same levels as before. Most economical grade laminate market is captured by Indian printed paper, which has helped them to grow very fast in Covid era. In Prelam boards, the same segment of cheaper boards has grown that has provided avenues for Indian printers.The biggest share of the growth has been captured by the Indian paper printers who have increased their production capacity and supplies. Many units have now switched to high speed lines, with aiming to have good number of cylinders to improve supply. Indian printers’ market share has improved more than 25 % post covid era. The good supply, innovative designs and improving quality due adding high speed lines, good quality inks, high technology scanners and professional approach to present their products has been also helping the growth of domestic printers.
