Surat, Gujarat based Malchand and Sons Group, a leading producer of wood panels and plywood in India was powered by partners with Ply Reporter’s E-Conclave on ‘Emerging Doors Market Trend in India’, which was organize on 27th December 2020 Live on Ply Reporter’s Facebook page. The webinar was addressed by Mr. V K Patel, Managing Director of Kalpataru Doors, Mr. Nilesh Parekh, Director, Shreeji Woodcraft Pvt Ltd , Mr. A. Chandra Shekhar, MD, Gayatri Doors Pvt Ltd, Mr. Jitendra Goyal, Managing Director, Dormak, Mr. Saharsh Khaitan, Director (Marketing), Durian Doors and Mr. Nitin Vaze, Director, Sleek Boards, which will be moderated by Mr. Pragath Dvivedi and Mr. Rajiv Parashar of Ply Reporter.

Malchand and Sons Group is largely involved in manufacturing different range of plywood, shuttering ply and Bagasse based Particle Boards with captive resin unit. Established in the year 1989 they are leading manufacturers of Water Proof Plywood, Film face plywood, Specialty grade plywood for transport sector and Pallets, Pre-laminated board, MR hardwood plywood, BWR hardwood plywood, Bagasse based Particle Board, etc under brand name Premium Plywood and G-Mica. All their products are certified with ISI mark.

They expand its feathers internationally and also entered into Face Veneer manufacturing by setting up a plant in over 3 hectares of land at NKOK, SEZ in Gabon, Africa. The installed capacity of the plant is 120 cubic meters per day which under Gabon Timber Industry ZERP. Initially, they installed 6 peeling lines with dryers and other machineries but they have built an infrastructure capacity, they can handle input of 200 CBM per day and can supply 3 containers every day. From this operation they are supply 80% face veneer to India rest to China, Vietnam, Europe, Nepal and other Asian countries. They also produce ‘Door sized’ Face Veneer to cater the demand of Indian Doors industry

The company is going to expand its capacity in plywood by adding modern infrastructure for making ‘Calibrated Plywood’ by next year. They are also expanding its Particle Boards manufacturing capacity with adding lines, and soon they will have 700 cubic meters per day production capacity of boards, which will be second biggest in Indian Particle Boards Industry
