Fire at Gandhidham Based ATT PANEL Causes Huge Loss

A major fire outbreak has been reported in the Particle Boards unit of Arunachal Timber Trader Pvt Ltd based at Gandhidham. According to the information received, on June 22, 2021, the incident happened after the booster pump connecting to Dryer of the plant caught fire; gradually the entire plant came under its grip. According to the local administration, the entire plant has burnt down. The stock of finished particle board and raw timber in huge quantity within the company premises has been destroyed due to massive fire outbreak. Several machinery in the plant were reported to gut into the fire.

According to the administration, the fire was so devastating and huge that despite the involvement of several fire tenders, the fire could not be brought under control for six to seven hours. According to eyewitnesses, the flames were very strong that everything was gutted into it. As per report, there is a possibility of loss of property worth crores in this accident along with life, although it is under investigation. This incident of fire has created an outcry in Gandhidham, India's important timber hub.

ATT Panel,s Particle Boards unit has been set up five years back in Gandhidham, Gujarat with modern machineries, having 250 cubic meters capacity per day of 6 ft boards. The company is known for making good quality pre-lam boards
