AIPMA Issues Log Girth Advisory, Ask To Fix Purchase of Timber Quality

For the benefit of the industry IAPMA issued a notification to state and regional associations indicating and suggesting to the use of girth of wood not less than a specified thickness. The president of All India Plywood Manufacturers’ Association (AIPMA), Mr Devender Chawla writing a letter to the states and all regional associations said that the industries of Haryana, Punjab, UP, Western UP & Uttrakhand to take the decision on account of terms of purchase of timber quality on the following basis:

 

Poplar wood Sokhta - 9" to 14" Under 14" to 18" Over 18" & up;

Eucalyptus - Under 14" to 18" Over 18" & up

 

In this regard a virtual meeting has been called upon with the members and association, its officials and industry leaders on 23 July, 2021 and decision has been taken in this regard along with other important issues. The notification also says that it is very important that moving together to fight with present testing times for the benefit of the industry as a whole. To effectively implement of the decision taken into the virtual zoom meeting it is an advice to all the presidents of the plywood associations across India, to spread this message on their respective association letterhead to all their members and further to their dealers.

During the meeting many eminent personality were present which included: Mr. Ashok Agarwal, UP; Mr. Sanjay Garg, UP; Mr. Bimal Chopra, Yamunanagar; Mr. Virendra Jindal, UP; Vishal Juneja, Punjab; Mr. Manish Kedia, Delhi; Mr. Anil Garg, Yamunanagar; Mr Sandeep Jindal, Uttarakhand; Mr. Gurupreet Kataria, Punjab; Mr. Vikas Khanna, Delhi; Mr. Pragat Dvivedi, Ply Reporter; Mr. Arun Mongia and Chachaji, Yamunanagar; Mr. Rakesh Khurana, Yamunanagar, etc.
