The 'All India Plywood Manufacturers Association' is leading this protest where others state associations are joining and supporting the cause. Devender Chawla, President, AIPMA said that "to support the existance of industry, farmers & employment of this trade, this strike is a way to lodge our protest". AIPMA chairman, Naresh Tiwari said that whole India including producers, traders and suppliers will unite if need arise for resucing the GST slab.

HPMA ( Haryana) President Ajay Maniktala has appealed all members to support strike by complete closing of their units. He also informed that HPMA members, factory staffs and labors will march to Yamunanagar DC office on 14thJuly and will give a memorandum of their demands.
