SRG organised a dealers' meet 'Sarthak' at Radisson Blu, Kaushambi, Delhi NCR and factory tour for them to Sumitra Wood Craft Pvt Ltd from March 1 to 3. The first day of the meeting was the occasion of Delhi Darshan for the participants. And on the second day they were on factory visit at Hapur where Sumitra Wood Craft is located. They visited the factory which is an export oriented furniture manufacturing unit of SRG Group. In the evening there was an entertainment programme followed by dinner during which the company officials Mr Sanjay Garg, Chairman; Sameer Garg, MD; and Mr Akshay Garg, Director of SRG addressed the august gathering.
Mr. Sanjay Garg, Chairman talked about the company and the importance of practicing business with honesty. He said to the dealers, “Your support is very much important for the Growth of company which cannot be explained in words. We were not expecting such a great support and no one raised any question about it. In a difficult time during 2013 you had supported us morally as well as financially to sustain production and had promised to take material from us only even that would be costlier. This type of faith is incredible due to which I am feeling luckier. He appreciated many associates from different cities in the growth of SRG. In fact the growth of company is due to their associate's able support. He also appreciated their huge presence in the meeting and wished them a bigger success.
Welcoming the august gathering Mr Sameer Garg, MD said that organising such an event with timber market traders is the company's new initiative. We are talking about UP only as most of the guests here is from UP. We were majorly active in UP before GST implementation as that time taxations system for across the country was not so easy. He thanked them for their trust and togetherness with the company in spite of having vast opportunity across the country these days.
Talking about the timber market scenario he added, “In last two years the timber marketing is getting fast polarisation in the country as before only three countries (Malaysia, New Zealand and Burma) were feeding their materials. But now a number of options are available due to increasing interests of other counties such as Surinam, Solomon etc which have also entered into India offering different types of wood.
He also talked about his plywood units and their Hapur based export unit. He said that they are procuring different materials and supplying good quality materials of any kind to the industry. This is the reason people trust on SRG and their quality offerings.
Akshay Garg, Director of the company talked about the company's inception, its growth and time to time challenges faced by them in its long journey of over 100 years.
