India is a country of 135 crore people and corona virus spread has taken a speed after market opening up. Every key metropolitan city has normally more than a dozen large market clusters that combines building material shops including timber, plywood, laminate, hardware, veneer etc. Many of such clusters have witnessed emergence of Covid Positive cases among dealers in past two months that certainly created an instant panic for a week and disturb the market sentiments. It is observed, that once a case emerge, half of the shops goes for closure for a few days but later return and open up with firm precautions. Most of the trade people and dealers who have recovered from Covid 19 express no big issue during the isolation and stress upon the fact that it’s more of a fear.
Kirti Nagar, Delhi based laminate distributor Mr. Gyanendra Bansal of Queens Décor shared his experience with the Ply Reporter and says that he was found Covid positive in initial days, and now I he has fully recovered and more healthy. “I suggest that don’t be panic, if you find positive, it can be cure if you are healthy but take all precautions advised by government such a wear facemask, keep sanitize your hands, take healthy food and warm water and do your business with proper care,” he added.
Mr. Prashant Maheshwari, Director of Ventura International, a Delhi Based enterprise of luxury décor panel product, says that two members from his office had got infected of Covid but they have fully recovered now, and their entire family members are safe, healthy and un-infected. “As a team leader, I closely monitored both cases and observed that we don’t need to be panic. Just take all suggested safety measures as per government norms. The main mantra is immediate isolation and be positive. We regularly counseled our entire Ventura staff and made sure that no one is panicked,” he said.
The Ply Reporter also got to know about some Covid positive cases in other plywood and laminates people located in Delhi, Mumbai, Indore and other places but all has been recovered and back to business.
