The year 2026 is expected to witness a renewed demand for panel, decorative, adhesive and hardware furniture fitting products. From February 26 onwards, QCO will become mandatory for a few categories of furniture namely sofas, beds, tables, etc. It is very likely that QCO will impact around 30 to 35% of market demand.
Although the adoption of QCO in the furniture will stand the test of time as to how it will be implemented and taken up in year 2026.
However, it can be predicted that it is going to be very helpful for smaller & medium scale enterprises. For small scale enterprises in the furniture category, the demand for MDF,Particle board, plywood, laminate, adhesive, edge band, liner laminate, WPC boards etc is expected to improve noticeably.
This is a possibility in the furniture segment that the furniture QCO will certainly bring quality parity among players in India. So far it is expected, experts believe that this move will benefit or support at least 12- 15% demand jump in small furniture category, small furniture, ready-made furniture making category.
