Acrylic Laminate Producers Calls for Price Hike Up to Rs 300 Per Sheet

Monday, 23 March 2026

The Acrylic laminate producers based in Gujarat recently organised a meet in Morbi to discuss the necessity of price adjustments of the acrylic sheets in the wake of consistent surge in the cost of key chemicals & raw material, used by them in the production of these sheets.

Acrylic sheets manufacturers have been dealing with the high input cost of the finished product and foreseeing the no sign of ease up in the raw materials price in near future amidst escalated conflicts between US- Israel & Iran, they have decided to increase the price of finished goods.

The production of acrylic sheets involves the use of multiple raw materials such as the melamine films, adhesives, polymer granules and other chemicals. As per the reports, the key base material - PMMA Granules, used for manufacturing the acrylic sheet has witnessed the cost increment up to 40% from Rs170, before the war to Rs 260 since the US-Iran war. Besides this the prices of different foils and protection film has almost doubled which has significantly augmented the input cost of the finished product.

As per the acrylic producers, they are bound to pass on this notable spike in the input cost of the finished goods to the customers, in order to maintain the consistent supply of quality products. They seek the unreserved support of all the distributors and customers alike.
