Over 3 dozens new ASA catalogue witnessed in Matecia
PVC based surface decor sheets or ASA panel is the new sought after product which is drawing the customers’ attention in the market. Available in the market with different names such as Matte Acrylic, ASA panels etc, these sheets come in 1mm thickness and numerous pastel colors, offering a wide range of shades for the customers to choose from.
These PVC based decor sheets are generally imported from China but are sold by many retail counters in the country, hence the product is giving stiff competition to Acrylic, PVC and decorative laminate segments by taking a significant share of solid and pastel colors of traditional surface decor products.
Over the last few months, around 20-25 new folders consisting of an elaborate range of PVC based decor sheets have been launched by various entities. As of now each folder generally contains about 25-30 designs which can be increased up to 50-60 shades per folder in the coming months.
The driving factors for ASA panels demand are mainly its weather-resistant properties which makes it a wise choice for making interior grade furniture, furniture finishes, etc. Apart from this, resistance to impact/corrosion further enhances its demand in spaces under harsh climatic conditions.
