They are selling almost every item of wood panel decorative segment like laminate, plywood, veneer, MDF, Particle Board, etc. with their three showrooms located in the region. In conversation with Ply Reporter, the owner of the showrooms Mr Kailash Badgujar expressed their satisfaction with demand and sales. They see all the ranges of products are doing well. There is no issue of price rise on sales. Here is the brief out of the talk with him.

How do you see the current market scenario?

Those who wish to work will work anyhow! If anyone sees the market condition, his work will not go ahead. It means, we have to make our way on our own. After covid, we managed to do our work and we are doing well now. Actually, we have to make efforts and sell our products by realizing to make low margin and deal with customers amicably.

Have the sales in September and October reached normalcy, as it was in the pre covid era?

Definitely, the sales have reached normalcy and we are doing the same as we were working and selling before the covid era.

What changes do you see in the market?

In terms of change the price fluctuation is very disturbing and the rate is increasing day by day so there is short in the margins but some benefit definitely comes in sales. This effect is everywhere in retail sales. Despite all odds, people are purchasing and homes are being constructed, and with it wood panel decorative sales are continued. The payments recovery system is totally stopped and the entire sales are on cash.

Are customers compromising with quality to adjust their budget?

In my observation, those who are willing to buy less quantity, in general, get medium quality products. But, those who work for good clients with premium quantity always ask for good quality materials. At present, medium category material demand is there in the market. In laminate 0.92 mm demand has increased. It was 1 mm some two years before. The branded players are still offering 1mm but the medium players without any specific or non-leading brands are largely shifted to 0.92mm.

How do you see the market post-Diwali?

According to the opinion from the market after Diwali, the demand will increase to another level.

In today’s scenario, what message you will give to other dealers in the market?

In my work strategy, we are continuously working for sales growth. Right in the morning, we work on the strategy for the day from 11 to 12. If we have to grow our business, we have to think, what we need to do in the present context. I would like to say that do not stick with a certain margin.  Manage yourself with time. In terms of payment, it has become all in cash so be calm and move amicably.
