Dipping grade MR plywood is set to recede its market grip and share in the year 2022. The emergence of HD+MR grade medium density fibreboard is being seen as a rival for the same grade. The New Year is certainly going to see more pressure on MR dipping grade plywood material. The interior sector has been using MR dipping grade in Kitchen and wall panelling which is fast slipping to other substitutes right from the beginning this year.

A decade and a half year ago, the MR dipping trend caught up with the market. It also led to growth in Fake 710 grade plywood products in the market because this dipping grade MR plywood has provided scope for more earnings by selling fake materials in the name of PF or water proof material. Year 2022 will mark a return to Non dipping commercial plywood or focus on offering genuine guaranteed PF plywood by industry and trade.

The scenario changed a little in 2021, and Dipping MR Grade Plywood as a product, has become a question mark in the Market because it is being replaced by HD+MR mdf and greatly accepted by contractors. Year 2022 will bring the solution in these categories, as manufacturers will start promoting commercial plywood, calibrated Plywood and Genuine BWP grade plywood.

The Year 2022 will focus more on basic characteristics of plywood, and for value addition they will offer Fire Rated Plywood. Year 2022 may mark the beginning for genuine material offering with the ending year of dipping grade plywood. Manufacturers would start re-branding its plywood products in majorly two categories such as Commercial and PF. Calibrated, Fire Rated, Flexi etc will add value to the brand and help to reach new markets with good profits.
