South Based Plywood Associations Raise Plywood Prices by 50 Paisa per Sqft per Glue Line

Plywood manufacturers' associations based in South India have called a JOINT MEETING in Mangalore today on July 14th. 2022 and have unanimously decided to increase the price of plywood by 0.50 paisa per sqft. per glue line on all MR and BWR grade materials with immediate effect. They said that the price rise was due to a steep increase in resin prices.

Mr. B Abdul Salam, President, Karnataka Plywood Manufacturers Association; Mr Mujeeb Rehman, President, All Kerala Plywood & Block Board Manufacturers Association; Mr Narayannan TP, President, Kannur District Plywood & Block Board Manufacturers Association; and Mr Jitendra Patel, President, Bangalore Plywood Manufacturers Association were present along with over 50 members and executive members of the associations, including Dr. Prashant, Mr Ebrahim, Mr Faisal, Mr Anwar, Mr Ahmad from AK Plywood; Mr Shahbaz, 

They said that they are forced to increase the prices with immediate effect for commercial/BWR plywood and block board/Flush door. So, the prices of plywood have increased, ranging from Rs. 0.50 per sq ft to Rs Rs. 3.00 per sq ft with thickness ranging from 4 mm to 18 mm, respectively, with glue line ranging from 1 to 6.The associations expect that the industry and trade fraternity will support them in the situation accordingly and continuously.
