Although the volume is very less, it is a new trend of users, who want to create some innovative interior works for their home and office space.
Talking with Ply Reporter a Hyderabad based Interior Contractor says that the 10ft height trend is coming because of development of new hardware, which has made him comfortable to use large size wardrobes, shutters and doors because it feels luxury when using these sizes. He views that if plywood and doors makers offer these boards and drive awareness it will grow further.
A Bengaluru based OEMs says that he asks large size boards for some different uses even if it is not large size, but it gives me proper use with wastage for making wardrobes and shutters but it is a costly affair many times because it is widely produced in India.
A OEM from Chandigarh views that 10 ft doors are for luxury housing and this trend is growing fast, but for plywood, it depends on interior contract and architects, because India is traditionally 8 ft size plywood hence getting large size is not cost effective.
