ACP segment to witness growth in its Value-Added Category

2017 was abuzz with growing spread of cheap Aluminum Composite Panels and dominance of partition panels in ACP market segment. The façade and cladding demand was weak in 2017 due to slowdown in markets but with new year, hopes have turned bright. In 2018, ACP segment is expected to mark a shining spot because of expected demand in commercial, corporate and industrial demand. The market feedbacks and reviews from ACP dealers and ACP user fabricator community, there is an opportunity build up happening in ACP demand for players who serve quality and have brand image.

The Ply Reporter expect a surge in demand of value added category in ACP segment. This level of quality and design is not readily offered by many domestic manufacturers. The demand from Commercial towers, Offices, Consumer Durable showrooms and their Facades, Automobile and Petroleum outlets. Railways and Metro station façade are going to help the ACP segment during this year. With around 40 ACP manufacturers in India, Aluminium Composite Panel segment is set to boost prospects for leading few who have worked in organized manner with quality parameters and desired specification working.

The demand from Government driven projects along with corporate buying is certainly going to help leading brands who have designs and quality certification with desired approvals. The ACP market has been growing steadily in India with an Year on year growth of 12 to 14%. The players like Aludecor, Alstrong and Alstone have created a space in Value added category. Year 2018 is expected to help the brands who have invested in product R&D and brand value over the years on the contrary the mass market product like Partition Panels is to witness a pressure on price vs margins.
