WOODEX-2019, 17th International exhibition of furniture machinery, accessories and related industries concluded with happy note at Tehran International Permanent Fairground, Tehran, IRAN. The exhibition held from February 2–5, 2019 in which the official Indian agent for the exhibition was Ahmedabad based RB Overseas. The exhibition was showcased covering space of 35100 sq m. Among them foreign covered area was 2,548 sq m. In the exhibition nearly 186 local companies and 38 foreign exhibitors were participated from 16 countries which included Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, Belgium, China, South Korea, France, India, Malaysia, Turkey, Taiwan, Poland, Romania, Switzerland, Singapore. There was only one Indian company HR INDUSTRIES who took part in the exhibition.
The products lines and machines showcased in the exhibition included machines for processing wood, raw materials and equipment of furniture industry. Besides, a number of accessories and recipients of the furniture industry, detached parts, types of making furniture tools, etc were also showcased which was appreciated by the visitors. Production of handicrafts, furniture, a variety of coatings, types of flooring, types of wall coverings, types of decorative paints and wall sheet were also the center of attractions at the show. A variety of packaging materials for furniture industry, a variety of material handling machinery and transport goods, industrial automation in the field of related industry were much appreciated. Besides the Publications and professional journals, academic, school, special education services were also contributing with their efforts of information dissemination activities.
“Iran mainly uses PRELAM boards of MDF and particle boards. There are approx. 12 MDF mother board factories and around 15 particle board factories. They have wood as well as baggas base particle board factories. There are 3 HPL factories in IRAN. Post forming HPL is mainly used in Iran for Table tops and furniture. 6 mm thick Exterior grade compact laminate is started these years in IRAN and expected to grow in multifold in coming years. We see the potential in IRAN market for Indian company dealing in PRELAM MACHINERY, cutting blades, DÉCOR PAPER, POST FORMING HPL AND Compact HPL manufacturers,” sad Mr Bhavin Mehta from RB Overseas.
